Female adult lice can lay 6-8 nits in 2 days! The lice eggs hatch in about a week and start feeding off the hosts head. In about ten days after the eggs hatch they become an adult. Then they starting laying eggs. It is very easy to get out of control quickly.That is why it is so important to check your children frequently for head lice.
